Calling all youth nature and animal lovers!

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla — Educational, engaging workshops presented by the Sisterhood of the Traveling Plants of the Garden Club of St. Augustine.

Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library Nature Detective Workshops for Kids (ages 6 - 12) this Saturday at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

To make this year’s event even more special, award-winning author Marta Magellan has written a book for us titled Hummingbirds: Flying Jewels! This is the free book created for these workshops and will be given to every child who participates will also be on hand to sign her book and talk more about the process of creating it.

These popular workshops that have been held annually at the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library since 2010 are not to be missed! This summer’s special pollinator is hummingbirds.

Students will learn about the regional hummingbird, the ruby-throated hummingbird. There will be a lots of fun facts, activities, and a video to help our detectives learn more about this bit of flying magic!
