JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville will be the first stop on a special music tour linking Carnival Cruise Lines and "Operation Homefront."

Country music singer Carrie Underwood was in Jacksonville Thursday for the announcement of the tour.

Underwood will hold "meet and greets" with military families at 10 stops on her tour.

Underwood's "Storyteller Tour" starts in Jacksonville on Jan 30.

“Country music is all about real people and real families,” Underwood said.

When the tour reaches New York in November, Underwood will perform a concert for hundreds of military families onboard Carnival's newest cruise ship, Carnival Vista.

Editor's note: An earlier version of this story stated that Underwood will do military meet-and-greets at her Jacksonville tour stop. However, the meet and greets will take place at other tour stops.
