A man is recovering after the cement truck he was driving flipped and crashed into a tree and pole, bringing down power lines in Jacksonville on Wednesday.

JEA had to cut off power to the area as firefighters worked to free the driver on W. Beaver Street at Otis Road.
More than 2,500 customers were without power at the height of the outage.
Troopers said it is unclear what caused the 43-year-old driver to veer off the roadway.

A witness said he was traveling at high speed when his truck took a sharp right.
He hit a concrete pole and the cab hit a tree.
The driver was taken to UF Health Jacksonville with minor injuries.
Crews are still working to repair the lines.
