Charge dropped against Florida man who made beer run with live gator

A charge has been dropped against the Florida man arrested for carrying a live alligator into a liquor store in Jacksonville Heights.

ORIGINAL STORY: FWC investigates Jacksonville man who made beer run with gator in hand

Action New Jax first showed the viral video in July of Timothy Barr, who goes by Robby Stratton that appeared to show him and others passing the gator around moments before he ran through the convenience store holding the reptile.

The charge of "keeping or exhibiting venomous reptiles" has been dropped because alligators are not poisonous or venomous.

Barr still faces two other charges: cruelty to animals and FWC Level III Violation.
