JACKSONVILLE, Fla — The City of Jacksonville and the Downtown Investment Authority announced they’ll provide free metered parking for voters at the Supervisor of Elections office during the 2026 Primary Election.
Free parking will be available on Monroe St. and Duval St. between Main St. and Market St. during early voting, August 7-16, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Election Day, August 18, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Signs will indicate parking is for voters only with a two-hour maximum.
“It’s our hope that by reducing this barrier, more citizens will be encouraged to participate in local elections,” said Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan. “We are grateful to the members of the All Voting is Local and the Duval Voting Rights Coalitions who brought this recommendation to us and we thank them for the advocacy.”
