City of Jacksonville to offer Narcan training classes twice a month to combat opioid epidemic

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The City of Jacksonville is partnering with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department and Drug Free Duval to provide free training about signs of overdose and how to reverse effects with Narcan.

The City of Jacksonville says it is providing this class to help combat the growing opioid epidemic in the area.

These training seminars will be held twice a month by Jacksonville fire fighters and Drug Free Duval personnel. The next class is tomorrow at 2 p.m.
