City of Green Cove Springs offering summer arts programs for community kids

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. — The city of Green Cove Springs is offering a stage acting class and a summer art camp this summer for children in the community.

The city is offering two engaging summer programs for students interested in the arts at the Agusta Savage Monitoring Center. Both programs are for children ages 7 to 17, and it’s free to register.

Little actors can take Stage Acting Fundamentals classes will run from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. each day from June 26 to Aug. 7.

However, if acting isn’t your child’s thing, Summer Art Camp is perfect for all children who love to express their artistic side through visual means. These classes run from 10 a.m. to noon each day from July 10 through 14.

Classes for both programs will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis, so parents are encouraged to register their kids now on the city website. All three registration forms must be completed and returned to executive assistant Kimberly Thomas before attending classes or camp.
