Clay County Announces CARES Act Funding Allocation

Clay County is one of 55 smaller Florida counties that will share in the $150 Billion allocation of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding. The CARES Act is intended to address the need in funding as a result of the economic consequences due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The State of Florida has allocated $38,257,784 to Clay County to strengthen the County’s readiness to address the ongoing impacts of the Pandemic. The County has received 25 percent of the total allotment, $9,564,446.  At the June 23rd Board of County Commissioners Meeting, the Commission voted to accept these funds and the proposed Clay County CARES Act spending plan.
