Middleburg woman wins $1 million prize from Florida Lottery scratch-off game

MIDDLEBURG, Fla. — A Middleburg woman is $1 million richer after she bought a winning scratch-off ticket.

Mary Johns, 60, bought the winning ticket from a BP station, located at 2449 Blanding Boulevard in Middleburg, according to a release from the Florida Lottery.

Johns won the ticket by playing Billion Dollar Gold Rush Supreme Scratch-Off.

The Florida Lottery said she chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $880,000.

The BP station will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
