JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Action News Jax will update this article with any new announced closures in Jacksonville.
In a news conference Friday to address the first positive case of COVID-19 in Jacksonville, Mayor Lenny Curry also announced the closures of all major event venues in the city such as:
- TIAA Bank Field
- Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena
- Times Union Center for the Performing Arts
- The Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center
Those venues are closed until further notice. Curry also announced the closure of all Jacksonville libraries as well as the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. All permits for large gatherings are halted until the end of March.
