JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health is reporting 550,901 total positive cases of COVID-19.
In addition to that, the Florida Department of Health reported 212 new deaths, down from yesterday's record of 276 deaths.
Out of those deaths, Duval County reported 12 new deaths, St. Johns County is reporting 3 deaths, and Clay County reported 1 death.
Today Florida is reporting 8,109 new cases in today’s report. The 17th day in a row where the state reported fewer than 10,000 new cases. The state’s cumulative positivity rate is at 11.89 percent.
Locally, northeast Florida added 371 cases.
Baker County has exceeded the 1,000th case mark, adding 80 new cases. Baker County has also exceeded a 27 percent positivity rate for the week.
Duval County added 231 cases, bringing the total to 23,972.
Clay County added 7 new cases. Nassau County is reporting 17 new cases, and St. Johns County is reporting 36 new cases.
The Florida Department of Health is reporting a backlog of test results from a Miami lab. The lab reported over 4,000 cases dating back to June 23. The Florida Department of Health is investigating the matter, along with Miami-Dade leadership.
