Surveillance video shows armed robbery at Dunkin' Donuts on County Road 210

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery that happened Tuesday night at the Dunkin' Donuts on County Road 210 West.

Deputies responded to the business shortly after 9 p.m. and found that a man entered the building with a gun and demanded cash.

Witnesses told authorities upon entering, the suspect immediately demanded all customers get in corner.

Surveillance video at about 9 p.m. shows a masked suspect pointing a handgun to at least two employees. He appears to demand money and would then put the gun away in his belt.

An employee is seen holding up her hand and begins to do what the suspect wants. But the suspect pulls out the gun again, reaches across the counter and puts the gun in the employee’s face, who then jumps back.

The man left with an undetermined amount of money. It is believed he drove away east on CR 210 W. toward Interstate 95 in a white Volkswagen Jetta, according to deputies.

The manger told Action News Jax that the night employees are OK.

The man is believed to be 6 feet tall with a slim build.

Dunkin’ Donuts released a statement Wednesday: 

We are aware of the robbery that took place at the Dunkin' Donuts restaurant located on County Road 210 in Jacksonville. The franchisee who owns and operates this location informs us that the safety and well-being of his crew members and customers are top priorities and he is cooperating fully with the police investigating this incident. As this is an ongoing investigation, we defer any additional questions to the local authorities.

Deputies responded to Dunkin Donuts on C.R. 210 West, shortly after 9:00 p.m. Tuesday after a report of an armed robbery. A male subject entered the building armed with a gun and demanded cash, he then fled with an undetermined amount of money in an unknown direction of travel. The suspect was believed to be a black male, 6' tall with a slim build.
