Police identified the victim as Amondrick Roberts, 18. He’s the father of a baby boy and baby girl.

“He always took care of his kids. Even though he was young and had kids, he always made sure to make things work,” Roberts’ best friend said. He asked to remain anonymous due to safety concerns while a suspected murderer is still on the run.

Police said shots were fired at Sheldon Park during a barbecue with about 100 people in attendance.

Officers said that according to witnesses, several people took cellphone video of a fight that broke out before the shooting.

“They were recording on Snapchat the same night, posting videos before everything went down when everyone was having a good time,” said Roberts’ friend.

Roberts’ friend was not at the park Dec. 26, but he did see several videos.
