FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol says a tan Nissan Altima driving north on Interstate-95 exit ramp to Palm Coast Parkway early Sunday morning.
The driver, Kenneth Yarborough, veered off the roadway on to the left shoulder of the exit ramp.
According to the FHP, the car hit several trees on the left shoulder.
Finally Yarborough drove into a pond where his vehicle came to rest.
Officers say the car suffered heavy damage on the driver’s side.
Yarborough’s passenger was transported to Halifax Health-Medical Center with serious injuries.
Flagler County Fire Rescue pronounced Yarborough dead at the scene.
