It’s a spectacular lights display that wows everyone driving through, twinkling lights everywhere you look.
Michael Bielamowicz, who helps with the lights, says, “It started with somebody on the other side of Black Hawk Bluff. He started hanging them and then everybody else started; I just caught on.”
Bielamowicz has lived off Girvin Road for nearly 30 years, and he says that each year, the neighborhood just becomes better and brighter.
“I think that’s just the way it’s going. Just buy lights and if they’re not bad, we keep putting them up. Then you buy more and you put more up.”

It’s become a Jacksonville staple around the holidays and with that comes bumper to bumper traffic. But the long lines and hundreds of cars passing through make it all worth it.
It’s a Christmas lights extravaganza so popular, even Santa Claus has to make a debut each year.
“It’s the community. Having everybody together seeing everybody come down the street and just having a great time,” Santa said.
Twinkling lights bring the community together, which is what the season is all about.
