Jacksonville bodybuilder Lee Banks dies of cancer at 51

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — This Black History Month, Jacksonville says goodbye to one of its own who brought home a list of accomplishments many dream of.

Body builder and entrepreneur Lee Banks competed nationally and internationally as a pro body builder.

In 2010, he won the North American Championship’s Heavyweight Division and Overall.

He placed top 10 in 2017 at the Olympia along with many other top placements as an all-natural fitness competitor all over the world.

Lee owned a fitness studio and two child care centers with his former wife.

Banks died earlier this month of cancer. He was 51 years old.

His funeral is this Thursday at 11 a.m. at Impact Church, located at 9501 Arlington Expy, Suite 245 in Jacksonville.
