JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — Police in Jacksonville Beach are searching for the suspect in a home invasion robbery.
The report redacts where the crime happened, but police said it took place in North Jacksonville Beach.
Detectives said on Sunday, the elderly man answered a knock on his door when the suspect asked for money, but the victim refused.
Police said the suspect forced his way inside and shoved the victim to the ground, causing him to hit his head on the couch.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded, but the victim refused to be taken to the hospital.
The report said the suspect stole cash and a credit card out of the victim’s pocket.

Hours after the home invasion, police said the suspect was caught on surveillance camera at the Walmart on Beach Boulevard trying to use to victim’s credit card.
Detectives said the suspect tried to purchase a Nintendo Switch and game worth $266.37, but the transaction was declined.
The elderly man told police he had previously hired the suspect to do handiwork for him.
The suspect is described as having an average build and about 5 feet 8 inches tall.
