JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a child was shot on East 43rd Street. The child was taken to a hospital where the child later died, JSO said.

The Sheriff’s Office said another child was there when the shooting happened and that this may be an accidental shooting.
There were adults at the home when the shooting happened, and everyone is cooperating with police, JSO said.
