JSO looking for multiple suspects after teen boy dies from shooting on Beaver Street

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office say that a boy approximately 16 to 18 years old is dead after being shot to death in 2800 block of West Beaver Street Tuesday night.

Police say they received a 911 call around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night in reference to a shooting.

When they arrived they found a teenage boy approximately 16 to 18 years old with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Jacksonville Fire and Rescue.

Investigators say they believe that a fight happened before the shooting resulting in the boy being shot.

Witnesses told investigators that multiple young men fled the scene of the shooting.

Police conducted an air search and dispatched the K-9 units to find the possible suspects. They were unable in locating any possible suspects.
