JSO: Person shot while driving on Kernan Boulevard

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a person was shot while driving on Kernan Boulevard.

Someone in a blue Chrisler 300 shot into another car, striking a person, JSO said. That person was taken to a hospital.

According to police, the person shot is stable and is expected to survive.

Police do not have a motive for the shooting at this time and are asking anyone with information to call the Sheriff’s Office at 904-630-0500.

JSO said the road will be closed for at least another hour, meaning until around 10:30 p.m. on Monday.
