US Marshals track down 2 teens accused of June murder on Jacksonville’s Westside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two people have been arrested for the murder of a 24-year-old man, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced Monday.

The deadly shooting happened June 18 at a small gathering on Shindler Drive. Action News Jax reported when a fight broke out that escalated to gunfire.

JSO said the man, who had been shot multiple times, was taken to the hospital where he died of his injuries.

During a follow-up investigation, JSO was able to identify two 19-year-olds who police said took part in the shooting: Daishawn Gunn and Tywan Anderson.

“Warrants were obtained for both, and with the assistance of the United States Marshals Service, both were taken into custody and have been arrested for multiple crimes each, to include Murder and Armed Robbery, " JSO said in a statement.
