Police need your help solving 2 unrelated murders in Arlington

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is asking for the community’s help in solving two unrelated murders in Arlington.

Both incidents happened in October of 2020.

Action News Jax has details about both cases below:

THE MURDER OF JACQUEZ ANLAGE

In October of 2020, officers were called out to Arco Drive. JSO found Jacquez Anlage, 20, shot and killed inside an apartment.

Anlage had just moved into that area.

Action News Jax reporter Alicia Tarancon spoke with Crystal Anlage, the 20-year-old’s mother, who’s desperate for answers.

She and her husband Matt adopted Jacquez when he was 16 to help give him a better life.

She said it’s been almost six months and she still doesn’t know who killed her son.

Crystal said someone knows what happened to her son and she’s hoping they will speak up.

“I’m sure the person that so callously took his life didn’t think about the fact that he had parents that love him. He had a whole bunch of people that love him and miss him,” she said.

“When your kid is sick and dies, yes it’s sad, but you have answers, you have closure. We haven’t gotten to have any closure.”

MAD DADS is working with the family to try and get the word out.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $3,000 for anyone with information that can lead to an arrest.

THE MURDER OF AZIZ BENDOUR

In Oct. 2020, police said Aziz Bendour, 55, was severely beaten.

The attack happened along University Boulevard North at 2:45 a.m. on Oct. 9, 2020.

He later died from his injuries months later on Jan. 7, 2021.

Action News Jax reporter Jessica Barreto spoke to JSO, who told her Bendour’s daughter is still not ready to speak about this.

A crime mapping tool shows there have been 53 serious crimes within a quarter-mile of the attack on Bendour.

Action News Jax has requested the police report for the attack to learn exactly where it happened and what may have led up to it. So far, JSO has not released it.

If you have any information to help solve Bendour’s case, call JSO at 904-630-0500.
