JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — At least two men exchanged gunfire inside and outside at least two apartments at Magnolia Point Apartments on Beach Boulevard at 9:33 p.m. Saturday, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says.
Soon after arriving at the apartment complex, police learned that at least one man, 23, had been shot multiple times and was taken to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle in critical condition.
After searching the area, the Sheriff’s Office Air unit and multiple K-9 units located a second man who had run from the scene and was attempting to conceal himself in a retention pond. This man was transported to an area hospital for at least one gunshot wound, police say.
