WATCH: Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry addresses his odd behavior on Twitter over the weekend

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Things got heated on Twitter Sunday night among some of Jacksonville’s top city leaders.

Mayor Lenny Curry, Councilman Garrett Dennis, and Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5-30′s President Steve Zona all exchanged some personal words on the social media platform.

The conversation started after a Twitter user said some not-nice things to Curry about his wife, to which Curry responded, “Name the place. Show your face. I’ll be there.”

Dennis jumped into the exchange, calling Curry a “tough guy” and adding a quote that suggested that Curry was unfit to handle conflict.

Things got personal when Zona entered the conversation. Zona responded to Dennis’s tweet saying, “Wasn’t it your council member who was making thousands of phone calls to another woman or who were those calls made to? Was it work related? At least my mayor sticks by his wife.”

Curry retweeted Zona’s tweet, even adding a comment

“She knows. Everyone knows.

Dennis fired back by saying " I want to thank you @lennycurry for referencing my wife, which I thought was off limits. Opens the door for me asking if yours knows about your trips to Clay County to be with hired woman.”

Curry has since deleted his exchanges on Twitter. He addressed the exchange today at a press conference, hear what he said below:
