JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —

Winn Dixie is stepping up to help the Jacksonville Humane Society by donating 4,000 pounds of pet food.

The grocer is a partner with the humane society and is showing its support to local cats and dogs by stocking the humane society’s Pet Food Pantry, which is low on supplies.

Winn Dixie will deliver four pallets of wet and dry pet food to the humane society’s warehouse located at 1817 Foster Drive today at 1 p.m.

The humane society’s Pet Food Pantry every year distributes more than 170,000 pounds of free pet food to seniors, community members with disabilities, veterans, and families in crisis to keep pets with their families and out of shelters.
