JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Hundreds of JEA customers in Oceanway were without power Thursday night after a school resource officer vehicle hit a power pole on Starratt Road.
Power was restored to homes just before 9:30 p.m. A transformer and six street lights were still without power.
The damage to the police car was intense. Action News Jax is working to learn if the Duval County School Police officer is injured.
JEA said it could take until early Friday morning to repair the damaged pole.
