Event permit information now on Clay County website

Clay County enacted an event ordinance that went into effect in November of 2022.

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — An ordinance requiring certain Clay County events to file for a permit went into effect in November of 2022. The ordinance is for events in the county’s unincorporated areas that meet certain criteria. Each city or town has its own event policies or processes.

To ensure these events are as safe as possible and that each event has the resources it needs for public safety, commissioners approved the event ordinance and resulting permit that ensures each event has key safety measure in place based on the scale and type of event, said the county’s Facebook post.

Permit applications have to be submitted at least 90 days before the event.
