Family of Tiphne Hollis keeps her memory alive through toy drive

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The family of Tiphne Hollis is taking extra measures this holiday season to keep her memory alive.

Hollis, 16, was killed by a stray bullet almost six years ago and her killer has yet to be found.

Her mother returned to the neighborhood Hollis was shot. She handed out toys and cards that have the word "forgiveness" on them.

She said she not only wants the community to remember her daughter, she also hopes someone will provide information about who may have killed her daughter.

Her family has been vocal in the community, trying to get answers.

Her mother said they're not giving up and still thinks someone will come forward.
 
"Hopefully this will touch a mother that knows what happened and maybe their child," said Hollis' mother Shandra Whitaker-Ward.
 
Hollis' mother said there is a $15,000 reward out for those who help catch whoever killed her daughter.
