FDOT Road Ranger cited after rear ending truck, pushing man over edge of Buckman Bridge

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A citation was given to an FDOT Road Ranger after a 61-year-old male driver was killed after his Toyota pickup truck was struck from behind by a Florida Department of Transportation Road Ranger on the Buckman Bridge on Feb. 28, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

In the citation, Lydell Alexander Correia was ticketed for reckless driving and was fined $164.

The 23-year-old man driving the FDOT Road Ranger was questioned by Florida Highway Patrol.

Correia is still not facing criminal charges.
