Fight breaks out at Robert E. Lee High

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Punches were thrown in every direction.

That’s what happened in a video of people fighting in the parking lot of Robert E. Lee High.

Action News spoke with multiple students who saw the video.

“It was like a rampage. I never seen anything like it before,” said student Malik Narin.

“Dang these kids are out of hand,” said student Jamel Wright.

Student Deja Carson says fights are usually recorded and posted online.

“People will record it and they'll pass it around class on their phone,” said Carson.

Carson says fights happen often at Lee High School.

In October, we showed you another fight, that got so out of hand, students were pepper-sprayed.

We reached out to the Duval County School Board who says the fight involved students and non-students.

We asked if anything will be done to stop fights at the high school.

A spokesperson sent us this statement saying,  “While we are unable to speak to the outcome of the investigation involving non-students, we can advise that all school students involved will be charged with a violation.”

We did see officers here at the school today, but students tell me they don't think added security will change anything.
