Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:

  • It’s a cloudy & windy go Saturday afternoon
  • Bands of showers keep moving ashore especially in NE Florida
  • Some neighborhoods in Duval/St. Johns have gotten up to a half inch of rain
  • Heads up for rain late tonight around the Jax Metro
  • Long-parts of Sunday will be dry
  • But we still have to watch for showers moving ashore at times
  • Beaches stay rough with dangerous conditions in the water
  • A COASTAL FLOOD WARNING is in effect for the entire coast, the St. Johns River & tributaries
  • High tides will be a tad higher and we have to watch for flooding
  • We’ll see more sunshine by Monday but it stays breezy
  • Onshore winds continue each day next week so there will be beach erosion
  • The door stays open for rain at times, especially mid to late week

TROPICS

  • No active storms
  • We have to watch the Western Atlantic for tropical development
  • Early indications show any tropical system developing & staying away from Florida
