FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Numerous heavy showers & storms across Northeast Florida

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Action News Jax First Alert Weather Team is tracking heavy showers and storms across Northeast Florida and Jacksonville’s metro area.

An Areal Flood Warning has been issued for Camden County and Glynn County until 8:15 p.m.

Rainfall is expected to reach 1-3 inches per hour and some areas will flood. Winds can reach 40-50 m.p.h.

The storms are moving east and northeast all the way to the beaches. They are expected to diminish by at least sunset.

Friday will bring heavy afternoon rain and storms.
