Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:

  • It’s another wet afternoon & evening across the Action News Jax area
  • Some spots north of I-10 have received nearly 5″ of rain, and it’s still raining
  • A few showers will develop west and south of Jax in the hours before sunset
  • While rain for the most part will fade overnight, there will still be clouds and some spots of rain
  • Monday is cloudy & more dreary than the last couple of days
  • There will be periods of showers & periods of dry during the day
  • The heaviest rain looks to focus during the afternoon & evening
  • Tuesday’s very similar to Monday with heavy rain focusing near the NE Florida coast
  • Onshore winds pick up during the day Tuesday, lasting through Wednesday
  • While some spots have already seen 5-10″ of rain, there’s more on the way
  • Local Nor’easter conditions will be with us at the coast thru Thursday
  • We’ll see more sunshine and slightly less rain Thursday & Friday
  • But we still have rain chances each day thru next weekend

TROPICS

  • Low pressure is expected to develop in the Southwest Gulf
  • This system then meanders and slowly moves northward
  • Early indications keep this system west and away from Florida but we’re tracking
  • “Isaias” is the next named storm

FRI: Partly Sunny, PM Showers. 70/82

SAT: Partly Cloudy, Scattered Storms. 71/83

SUN: Partly Cloudy, A Few Storms. 72/85
