JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect in the forecast:
- Say good-bye – at least for a while – to the hot & humid conditions of the past weeks & months. Temps will trend below average all the way into the weekend.
- A few lingering showers early this evening will end with lows in the low 70s.
- Thursday will be our transition day with gusty northeast winds & much cooler, drier air. There still may be an isolated shower, but highs will only reach the low 80s.
- Lots of sun Friday through Sunday, with highs near 80 Friday, warming to the mid 80s by Sunday, with overnight lows in the 50s inland to the 60s to around 70 at the beaches.

Tropics:
- (1) The remnants of Fay are trying to regenerate over the N. Atlantic but the system will remain far from any land. (2) A tropical wave just off the coast of Africa has the potential to develop but will stay over the far E. Atlantic. (3) Strong low pressure will form off the U.S. east coast then move to near New England over the weekend with heavy rain & strong winds. (4) Soon to be hurricane “Nolo” will impact the Big Island of Hawaii by later Fri./Saturday. Always more: “Talking the Tropics With Mike”.
