JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- Widely scattered showers & storms inland – well west of I-95 – will end by early this evening, leaving a mild but muggy night with a shower near the coast late.
- Tuesday & Wednesday will be dominated by winds off the Atlantic, so a few morning showers near the coast… showers, an isolated storm along I-95 by midday… & a few late-day showers & storms well inland. Highs will range from 80-85 at the beaches with an elevated rip current risk to around 90 inland.
- Hotter temps. For Thursday through Friday into the weekend, with scattered mainly midday & afternoon showers & storms. Highs will return to 90+ each day, so expect a hot Jags home opener Sunday with temps in the low 90s & at least some threat for a storm.
