Gov. Ron DeSantis made the announcement in a news briefing regarding Hurricane Dorian while at the National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida.

The game was originally scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m. in Jacksonville at the TIAA Bank Field. It is now scheduled for noon on Saturday, Aug. 31 in Tallahassee, Florida.

The Florida State Football program announced Thursday afternoon that the game is now scheduled for noon at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahasse.

"We regret having to move the venue in particular because of the tremendous work that the City of Jacksonville has invested in this event. They have been great partners, and we are disappointed that the game had to be moved.  Our fans were very much looking forward to the experience," said FSU Director of Athletics David Coburn.

According to the FSU Football program, all tickets purchased for the game in Jacksonville are being refunded.

FSU will now sell $10.00 general admission tickets online. You can purchase tickets by clicking here.

Tickets can also be purchased at the stadium on game day, but will cost $15. Tickets can be ordered online on game day, but will be $10, according to FSU.

"I want to thank the City of Jacksonville and Mayor Lenny Curry for their exceptional work in putting together what was going to be an outstanding event," said FSU President John Thrasher.  "I also want to thank Governor Ron DeSantis and our city and county officials for their cooperation in staging a game on such short notice, particularly our local law enforcement agencies."
