Gameday baby: Jaguars fan goes into labor after game-winning touchdown versus Cowboys

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Just over three minutes into overtime, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott dropped back in the pocket and looked left before throwing it to receiver Noah Brown.

However, the ball bounced of Brown’s hands and into the hands of Jacksonville Jaguars safety Rayshawn Jenkins. Jenkins would go on to sprint 52 yards into the endzone, securing the 40-34 Jaguars victory.

That play would go on to send Duval into a frenzy, while meaning much more than just football for one Nassau County woman. While celebrating Jacksonville’s game-winning miracle, Paige Deal went into labor.

“We got that last touchdown and I got super excited and jumped up and down screaming because of the touchdown. And my whole water broke,” Deal told Action News Jax.

Deal says just a couple hours later, Kehlani was born, a true gameday baby.

“I had been waiting to meet her,” Deal recounted with a beaming smile. “So to have that and before Christmas and to have it caused by something I love the most, because I also played flag football growing up, it was very touching.”

Kehlani now joins a family where the Jacksonville Jaguars are a part of daily life. So much so, that Kehlani’s older brother KeAndre plays for the Jaguars as his I-9 flag football team.

Now, a new member is introduced to a family of Jaguars football.

“Hopefully she sticks with the Jags because she’s definitely a Jags baby,” Deal said with a smirk.
