The Glynn County Sheriff's Office is working in conjunction with the United States Marshals Service to find Charles Barry Pinckney, a convicted child molester.
Pinckney was convicted in Fulton County, Georgia, for statutory rape and child molestation and was sentenced to 45 years in prison, but disappeared during the trial, according to GCSO.
GCSO said that Pinckney is a former corrections officer in the Atlanta area, but has family in Glynn County.
The U.S. Marshals said they've received credible information that he is in the Brunswick and Glynn County area.
GCSO and the U.S. Marshals are encouraging citizens to contact the Glynn Brunswick E911 Center at 912-554-3645 or the Silent Witness line at 912-264-1333 of they know the whereabouts of Pinckney.
