ORLANDO, Fla. — Guys, the bar has been raised. Within hours of being in a head-on crash, Kapri DeRamus lay in an Orlando hospital bed with two broken arms, injured ribs and a broken jaw but still said “I do.”
DeRamus’ marriage Tyasia Thomas had been scheduled for 4:30 p.m., but on his way the groom was involved in a head-on crash in Altamonte Springs.
His car was left crumpled on State Road 436 in following a serious head-on crash. First responders rushed him to Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC)
Fox 35 Orlando reported that rather postpone the nuptials the couple tied the knot after hospital nurses built a makeshift bouquet out of potted plants, and the staff played music on their phones.
“I look at the pictures of his car, and I see where he was sitting, and it just looks like God just wrapped His arms around him in that front seat,” the bride told the TV station.
DeRamus remained focused on the big picture. “I’m just so thankful and just very, very fortunate to be alive,” he said.
