Jack-knifed semi causing traffic backup on I-95 south in St. Johns County

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A jackknifed semi was tying up traffic on I-95 south in St. Johns County, just north of World Golf Village, as of 11 p.m. on Saturday.

The accident, which could be seen on Florida Department of Transportation Department cameras, occurred in the right side of the highway near mile market 325.

It block all traffic for a period. Once police and rescue crews arrived, traffic began to inch past the crash, but the accident created a long traffic backup to the north.

Action News Jax is working to get details of how the crash occurred and how much longer delays can be expected.
