Jacksonville man buys $2 million lottery ticket at Argyle Forest Publix

The Florida Lottery said Wednesday that Michael Baines Jacksonville, claimed the $2 million Lucky Money jackpot from the Aug. 1 drawing at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

Baines is a U.S. Navy veteran, the Florida Lottery said.

Baines chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,488,961.20.

He purchased his winning ticket from the Publix located at Argyle Forest Boulevard in Jacksonville.
