A Crime Stoppers tip led to the arrest of Jacksonville murder suspect Julian Williams.
Williams, 36, was identified as the suspect in a July double shooting at a Blanding Boulevard gas station, which resulted in the death of 20-year-old Christopher Thurston.
He was arrested in Harris County, Texas.
The affidavit for arrest warrant filed in the case said Williams and a customer at the gas station got into an argument about something unrelated, when one of the victims -- Thurston -- walked in.
The door hit Williams, leading to another argument, according to the affidavit.
Investigators said Williams then followed Thurston down an aisle, pulled a firearm, and fired one shot, hitting Thurston in the chest.
Another victim then tried to disarm Williams, who fired several more shots and eventually struck that victim in the leg, according to the affidavit.
Court records said Williams was positively identified by five separate witnesses, and surveillance video confirmed their accounts of what happened.
Williams’ next court appearance is Oct. 11.
