One of the two men hurt in a shooting in Durkeeville has died, the Jacksonville police said Saturday.
Police identified the man as 24-year-old Telvin Kennedy who was shot Friday night in the 1300 block of 6th Street.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said a homicide unit is taking over the investigation.
Officers had found the two men shot when they arrived at the scene. The men were taken to the hospital where Kennedy was later pronounced dead, police said.

No suspect information is available at this time, as investigators are still working to piece together the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
