Jacksonville police: Woman carjacked by armed suspect who worked with a lookout in Moncrief

A second suspect, who acted as a lookout, was caught on video. The lookout got into the victim’s front passenger seat as the other suspect drove off with the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle was located abandoned and damaged on the Southside.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is seeking a suspect in a carjacking that happened early Tuesday morning in the Moncrief area.

JSO said the carjacking happened at Wells Fargo on 1336 W. Edgewood Avenue shortly after midnight.

The victim pulled her vehicle up to the drive-thru ATM to make a deposit when the suspect approached her vehicle from behind with a shirt pulled over his head.

The suspect covered up the ATM camera prior to the camera catching his face. He then carjacked the victim, pointing the gun at her head, JSO said.
