The Sheriff's Office said that as the cab drove off, the male suspect told the cab driver to stop and get out of the vehicle.

The cab driver stopped the car, and according to the Sheriff's Office, a gun was then pointed at her. The cab driver told officers the suspect told her to get out of the car and walk toward the woods and to not turn around.

The Sheriff's Office said the cab driver got out of the car, and the suspects took off in the cab and went to the Wells Fargo Bank, arriving just after 11 a.m, according to witnesses.

The Sheriff's Office said the suspects walked into the bank, demanding money and displaying black handguns that matched the same gun description the cab driver gave officers.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the suspects told everybody to get on the ground before they received the money. One person in the bank hit the silent alarm and that’s how the Sheriff's Office learned of the bank robbery, according to officers.

An unknown amount of money was handed over to the suspects, according to the Sheriff's Office.

“I’m shocked because they’re usually so busy there that you wouldn’t think somebody would try it,” Wells Fargo Customer Lorraine Alligood said. She pulled up to the scene a few hours after it was reported.

The Sheriff's Office said that after the suspects got the money they left the bank and got back into the original cab -- a white Ford Escape.

The suspects car was found shortly after at the intersection of Fouraker Road and Hogan’s Cove Drive, abandoned, according to police. The Sheriff's Office said the vehicle has been taken as evidence.

The Sheriff's Office said it is searching for the suspects and that anyone with information should reach out to Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS (8477).

The Sheriff's office said the man had a goatee and was wearing a light blue, button-down shirt with what appeared to be a dark-colored tie, white pants, black sunglasses and a shemagh, which is a style of Arabic male headwear.

The woman was described by the Sheriff's Office as wearing black pants, a black jacket, black gloves and a white and gray hijab, which is a style of Arabic female headwear.

The Sheriff's Office said no one was injured during carjacking or bank robbery.
