The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said they are investigating a shooting Friday night that injured a 7-year-old and a 15-year-old in Allendale.
According to JSO, officers were dispatched to St. Vincent's Hospital around 10:30 p.m. after receiving a call about two children being treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to their lower bodies.
Joseph Ellison, the father of one of the boys told Action News Jax reporter Brittney Donovan that a bullet went through his 7-year-old son's knee.
"I don’t have guns, my children know that. He could tell you. I ain't never had no gun, I don’t need no gun the point is that if somebody had one in my house, it's pissing me off," said Ellison.
Family tells me this is 7-year-old Josiah Ellison, one of two children shot last night at a #Jacksonville home. #JSO is investigating it as an accidental shooting but Josiah’s dad tells me he wants answers about what happened.
