JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating after an unidentified man was found shot to death inside a condemned apartment in the Brentwood area.
Sgt. Rudlaff from the sheriff’s office said officers received a call from a neighbor around 10 a.m. Sunday who reported seeing an unresponsive man inside the apartment, located on the 2700 block of 27th St. W.

When emergency responders arrived, they found a man between 20 and 30 years old shot multiple times and declared him deceased.
Rudlaff said that investigators are working to determine the circumstances of the incident and the relationship of those involved.
Officials also noted that multiple people were “squatting” inside the apartment, and JSO had gotten in contact with the building’s owner, who affirmed nobody technically lives in the apartment.

Rudlaff said investigators found shell casings that are “most likely” from a semi-automatic handgun.
