First Alert Traffic

BRADFORD COUNTY, Fla. — A traffic crash with injuries, including a vehicle fire, has closed northbound lanes of U.S. 301 between Starke and Lawtey Sunday morning, according to the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office and Bradford County Fire Rescue.

The crash occurred on U.S. 301 North near NE 204th Street, just south of the entrance to Strawberry Acres, the Sheriff’s Office said in a traffic alert.

Bradford County Fire Rescue said multiple units responded to the scene, where one vehicle caught fire. Paramedics transported one patient as a trauma alert, fire officials said.

The conditions of any other people involved were not immediately available.

Northbound traffic is blocked, and both directions of U.S. 301 are experiencing significant delays. Drivers are urged to expect extended delays and seek alternative routes.

Authorities asked motorists to use caution near the scene. No further details, including the cause of the crash, were immediately released.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
