JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An argument that started inside a Bay Street club ended with a man shot in the foot in a nearby parking lot early Sunday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Officers responded around 1:08 a.m. to 100 Liberty Street North after reports of a person shot, said Sgt. Sembach of JSO’s Robbery and Violent Crime Unit.

There, officers found shell casings and secured the scene. They were then alerted that the victim had driven himself to a local hospital, according to JSO.

The victim, a man in his early 20s, was hit by a single bullet in the foot. The sheriff’s office said he’s stable and in non-life-threatening condition.

Investigators say the trouble began as a verbal argument among several adult men inside the club on Bay Street.

All parties left, and the argument continued in the parking lot of a business along Liberty Street North. Multiple shots were fired during the argument, and the victim was struck, investigators said.
