Top Story: School bus involved in deadly crash in west Jacksonville

A SWAT team was called out to a suicide threat in south Jacksonville on Monday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

At approximately 2:48 a.m., officers responded to a residence at the 7100 block of Sans Souci Road where a man attempted suicide by gunshot and missed, according to police.

Authorities negotiated with the man who eventually left the residence at an unknown time.

Just after 7 a.m., Jacksonville police stated they have found the man about a mile away behind a business at Beach Boulevard and Parental Home Road.

According to JSO, the man will not receive any criminal charges and is undergoing a mental health evaulation.
